The MAXX Experience

-

The Maxx is fun even before you pull the trigger, because it’s just so satisfying to remove and reinstall the body and snap a battery into the chassis without messing with body clips or other parts that can come off and go missing. There’s a nice, tactile feel to this stuff that’s eminently appealing, at least to me. Maybe I’m weird. Also nice: working on the Maxx. You won’t need to spin any wrenches, but in order to get some of the photos you’re looking at, I had to do some disassembly. The Maxx is engineered for simplicity (which requires some complex design, ironically). Popping out the motor and accessing the suspension and drivetrain is quick and easy, should you ever need to get in there. And since it’s 1/10 scale, the Maxx is large enough to impress but still “small” enough to work on comfortably at a desk or kitchen table. I like that.

 ?? ?? Maxx’s wheelbase is only 6mm shorter than the nitro truck’s.
