This is the standard wheel diameter for 1/10 scale competition 2WD and 4WD buggies, and 2WD trucks. It’s also used by rock-racer trail vehicles, but in a narrower style.

2.2” is the common size for rock-racer trail rigs. But instead of a low-profile sidewall, rock-racing tires have much taller sidewalls, and are designed to fit on a narrower wheel. Here’s a 2.2” Pro-line Hyrax compared to the 1.9” version. 1/10 scale competition off-road buggies and trucks use 2.2” wheels per racing rules.
