FINAL WORD

I’m pretty impressed with Tekin’s new BXR speed control. The stand out features to me are the small size of the unit, the ability to adjust drag brake from the radio and I really like that active drag brake feature.

I’m used to compromising when it comes to the drag brake setting but now I can easily adjust it to the conditions that I’m in and that’s a welcome feature.

But that adjustment may be a thing of the past now that I have the new active drag brake feature. It works perfectly and really gave me a very different and well liked driving experience. It’s a bit of a bummer that the included capacitor covers up so much of the display. In the end that’s ok because I use the Hotwire app to make my adjustments but it would be nice to have an access port on the speed control so I didn’t have to open up the receiver box every time I wanted to connect the BXR to the Hotwire programmer. —Kevin Hetmanski
