Spektrum S6250 Servo
FEATURES
Spektrum’s S6250 HV digital high torque servo is designed for use in 1/10-scale and 1/8-scale applications. It’s voltage range is 6-8.4-volts and at the top of that range it produces 382 oz-in. of torque and its speed is a quick .09 seconds. The case has an aluminum center section that helps dissipate heat from the coreless motor during operation. The mounting tabs are included in the center section and that increases the durability of the servo. Inside the case are metal gears which according to Spektrum has a tight mesh, low wear and smooth operation. The servo lead is removable so you can choose the right length for the application or for easy installation
TESTING
I installed the S6250 into my TLR 22 SR buggy and it dropped in place with no issues. I think the removable servo lead is a great idea and that allowed me to replace the stock one with a 2-inch cable to make the install a little easier and less wire means a lighter car. The servo worked as advertised and felt great while driving on my test track.
FEATURES
The Losi Mini Pack 1600 from Turnigy is said to provide more punch and run time than the stock battery in your Losi 1/18-scale truck. This Lipo has a capacity of 1600mah and comes in a 7.4-volts. It’s a soft pack and that keeps the overall cost down so care needs to be taken when in use. According to Turnigy the pack has been assembled with gold plated XT60 and balance plugs and IR matched cells.
TESTING
I installed the Losi Mini Pack 1600 in my old school Losi Mini-t and it dropped in with no issues. I did however have an issue with the included plug. The pack is made for a Losi vehicle but doesn’t come with an approperat plug for that vehicle and that’s a little frustrating. I ended up going with a quick connector change on my Mini-t and I was ready to go. The wires for the battery plug are a little longer than they need to be but I’d rather have wires that are too long than ones that are too short. The pack is much lighter than the one that came out and it’s smaller size allowed me to move its weight around to find tune the performance of the truck. And how about that $8 price? That’s pretty incredible.
