RENO - Bonnie Elizabeth (Gadda) Kimmel, a cherished resident of Reno, Nevada, passed away on February 17, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital, the same institutio­n where she took her first breath on April 14, 1942. Bonnie’s departure marks the end of a life brimming with love, laughter, and an unwavering passion for fashion.

Born and raised in Reno, Bonnie was a proud graduate of Reno High School, Class of 1960. She furthered her education with multiple degrees from Truckee Meadows Community College, a testament to her lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth.

In her youth, Bonnie delved into the world of fashion, collaborat­ing with renowned names like Joseph Magnum and Seventeen Magazine. However, it was her tenure at Harold’s Club in Reno where she found her profession­al home, dedicating the majority of her career to this iconic establishm­ent.

Upon retirement, Bonnie continued to enrich her community through her involvemen­t with organizati­ons such as the Twentieth Century Club and the Assistance League of Reno. Her passion for fashion remained unwavering throughout her life, evident in her impeccable style and timeless elegance. She also found solace and joy in her hobbies of cross-stitching and reading. Yet, her favorite pastime was traveling and spending quality time with her family, creating cherished memories that will endure through generation­s.

Bonnie’s vibrant personalit­y left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She lived each day to the fullest, her infectious smile and contagious energy lighting up every room she entered. Her love for life was matched only by her love for her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents George and Lilah Gadda, Bonnie leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. She is survived by her two adoring sons, Ted and Charlie, and their loving spouses, Natalie and Kristin. She also leaves behind her sister, Kay, and brothers George and Chris, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and 4 step-grandchild­ren: Daniel, Baylor, Quillan, and Sophie, who will forever treasure her memory.

As we bid farewell to Bonnie Elizabeth Kimmel, we find solace in the memories she leaves behind and the enduring impact she had on all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved her.
