Wanda Jean Beaman

SPARKS - Wanda Jean (Cummings) Beaman passed away at her residence on April 17, 2024. She was 88.

Born in Ely, NV, July 1, 1935 to Forrest Venard and Helen Marie (Willfong) Cummings, she attended schools in Cherry Creek and Ely, graduating in 1953. On November 16, 1953, she married Arthur Dale Uren and had 3 children, Mona (Greg) Anderson, Nadine (Dean) Fowler and Arthur (Jeri) Uren.

Wanda later married Rolland Kent Beaman in January of 1990. Having moved several times in their marriage, they finally settled back in Sparks, NV.

Wanda worked for Nevada Bell starting in 1953, moved to Carson City in 1963, where she worked for the DMV, then moving to Sparks in 1970, working and retiring from Wells Fargo Bank. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crocheting, wood working, and gardening.

Preceding her in death were her parents, sister Louise Keller, brother Robert Cummings, brother Jack Cummings, first husband Arthur Uren and second husband R. Kent Beaman.

Wanda is survived by her 3 children, 6 grandchildren, Sarah (Dan) Taylor, Darrick (Stephanie)

Fowler, Danielle (James Wooley) Short, Dionne (Will) Harger, Kevin Uren, Kelli (Devon) Gamboa, and 5 great grandchildren, Ava, Deacon Fowler, Calab, Landon Short, Kinsley Gamboa and last but not least, her loyal companion, her dog Skye. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no services as per her request, in lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation, in her name, to one of her favorite pet charities, ASPCA or the Humane Society.
