RIDGWAY--The Annual Ridgway Community Vacation Bible School is set to begin on July 2529 at the First Lutheran Church located at 301 South Street in Ridgway.

Much as last year the rooms at the Anne Forbes School will be transformed into age specific classrooms for the event which features a new theme this year, The Knights of the North Castle, a Quest for the Kings Armor.

Every night through Friday, the school will open for an early evening of fun, activities, treats, and some Bible lessons for children from 4 years old through the 5th grade.

Divided into groups based on ages, the kids will combine for some activities and be in separate areas for others during the week-long program.

As in past years, many of the churches in Ridgway have teamed up with the local Salvation Army to sponsor and help out at this annual tradition.

Children will learn life lessons and Bible stories under many local parishioners' combined leadership. Guest speakers, a community project, and other activities will help children better understand the role God plays in their lives and the community.

As in past years, a Back-To-School Backpack program will take place in August in conjunction with this Bible Camp, and donations are always welcome from local residents and businesses.

There is no fee for participation and activities, and fun snacks and drinks will be provided for all those in attendance.

Participants who register on the Ridgway Community Bible School Facebook page by July 13 will receive a free TShirt commemorating the weeklong event.
