Thomas R. Miller
Thomas R. “Tom” Miller, 75, of 4268 Wilcox Road, Wilcox, died early Friday Morning, June 24, 2022 at the Lutheran Home at Kane following a brief illness. He was born on October 5, 1946 in St. Marys, a son to the late Lawrence and Sophie Flacinski Miller. On December 20, 1975 in St. Marys, he married Deborah S. Stockdill and she survives.
A lifelong resident of the Johnsonburg/ Wilcox Area, Tom lived most of his life in Johnsonburg and attended Johnsonburg High School. He had lived the past 15 years in Wilcox. Tom was a member of the Wilcox American Legion post 467 and the Wilcox Sportsmen’s Club. He loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren and children. He loved to spend time in the outdoors walking in the Meffert’s Run area with his dogs Sadie and in the past Lucky.
Tom was a Vietnam Era Vet serving as Military Policeman with the 532nd MP CO out of Ft. Dix, NJ where he received the National Defense Medal and the M-14 Sharpshooter, Expert M-16 and Sharpshooter 45 Pistol Awards.
He is survived by his wife Deborah at home, his children; Doug Miller of Warren, Anita, Mrs., Jim Johnston of Warren and Greg Felmlee
of Wilcox, 9 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren. He is also survived by siblings; Bertha Jackman of Kane, Harry Miller and his wife Nancy of Woodbridge, VA and Joan Fredrick of DuBois and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tom is predeceased by a son Todd Miller, brothers Johnny, Daniel and David Miller and a sister Shirley Ford.
Funeral Services for Thomas R. Miller will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. Interment will be private in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Ridgway.
