Patricia A. (Parks) Shield, 72, of Ridgway, Pa went home to be with the Lord on June 19th, 2022. Waiting for her at the pearly gates were her parents, Samuel F. Parks and Doris E. (Olay) Servidea, her stepmother, Lois E. (Minard) Parks, her husband, Walter H. Shield, Jr, her oldest daughter, Lisa M. Shield, her sister, Sue L. Parks (Mrs. Paul Villella), her halfbrothe­r, Mark Servidea, a sister in infancy, Sandra Parks, her inlaws, Beatrice M. (Letourneau) & Walter H. Shield, Sr., as well as other family members, pets, and friends.

Patricia was a 1967 graduate of Johnsonbur­g Area High School. On July 19th, 1969 she married Walter H. Shield, Jr. in Ridgway. Patricia enjoyed cooking, puzzles, rooting for the Steelers, the Pirates, and Denny Hamlin, cruising with her tunes, watching Y&R, B&B, and Jeopardy, and spending time with family, friends, and God. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Johnsonbur­g, Pa. She enjoyed taking care of others, as was evident in her choice of work. She was employed by Dickinson Mental Health, as well as Ridgmont (WRC),where her residents were like a second family to her.

Patricia is survived by two daughters, Leslee (David) Shield of Philadelph­ia, Pa and Lori (John) Dausch of Pittsburgh, Pa, both were able to be by her side when she passed, two grandsons, Sgt. Dalton Feldbauer, USMC, of Va and Rixen Auman of St. Marys, Pa, a stepfather, John Servidea of St. Marys, Pa, a sister-in-law, Ann (Bob) Persinger of WV, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Patricia’s wishes were to be cremated, and placed next to her husband, Walter, at Fairview Cemetery in Ridgway.

There will be a celebratio­n of her life at a later date and time. If desired memorial contributi­ons can be made to The American Cancer Society, The American Diabetes Foundation, ASPCA, the Salvation Army, or a charity of your choosing.
