Sheetz in Ridgway to undergo major renovation beginning July 18
Project completion date slated for December
RIDGWAY - On July 18, a new Sheetz store will begin to take shape at the same location of the current store on North Broad Street in Ridgway.
Ridgway Borough Manager Mike Handley was informed by the Sheetz project manager that the contractors and materials were ready to begin work in the middle of this month. Handley, along with other parties that are involved with the logistics of this project, expect this to be completed by December and for the business to be re-opened around Christmas.
During these months when Sheetz will be unavailable for local residents, Handley knows there will be a high volume of traffic at the other two gas stations in town including Fuel On and Kwik Fill. He went on to encourage community members to try to avoid busy times of the day to refuel, but they will certainly be available for the customers to access.
In a statement shared with The Ridgway Record, Sheetz Public Relations Manager Nick Ruffner detailed what will be featured in the new-look store on North Broad.
“Sheetz is excited to be offering our loyal customers in Ridgway a new store design which will include a restaurant-style experience with selfservice kiosks and additional seating both outside and inside the store,” Ruffner said.
Ruffner added that Sheetz employees in Ridgway have been offered jobs at other Sheetz locations while the work will be going on during these next few months. Patience will be needed to those who visit Fuel On and Kwik Fill during the rest of this summer and fall for gas and those who visit inside those businesses for their convenience at this time.
