-

Jamestown, N.Y. – Saturday, July 30, is the Run for Liberty 5K Run/Walk at Audubon Community Nature Center (ACNC) in Jamestown, New York.

Register by July 19 through the link at AudubonCNC.org to receive the free event t-shirt by Audubon's in-house designer, Kim Turner.

Event schedule is 8 – 8:45 a.m. Registration, 9 a.m. Race, 10:30 a.m. Awards.

The Run for Liberty travels through forests and fields, past ponds, and over boardwalks as the race winds through the trail system. The race covers uneven ground and bridges, most of it being on bare ground, with one small section along pavement. The trail is well marked with white signs showing the way.

Prizes are awarded to the first three overall male and female walker and runner finishers. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each division for runners and top finisher in each division for walkers.

In honor of Bald Eagle Liberty's 20th anniversary, Audubon brought back the original name to this annual event.

The Run for Liberty was Audubon's first 5K and the money raised went to support her care and upkeep. This year ACNC is welcoming new birds of prey to join Liberty as animal ambassadors to teach visitors about their lives.

Pre-registration is appreciated through the link at AudubonCNC.org. Register by July 19 to receive the free event t-shirt. Walk-ins are welcome.

Run for Liberty 5K is sponsored by Jamestown Container Companies and Shults Auto Group.
