Mid-Atlantic Region Legion tourney set
Pennsylvania American Legion Baseball champs Philipsburg Post 437 and runnerup Boyertown Post 471 start play at the Mid-Atlantic championship tournament in Morgantown, West Virginia on Wednesday.
They'll be joined by host Morgantown Post 2, Frederick Post 11 (Maryland), Veterans Post 1 (Delaware), Chesapeake Post 280 (Virginia), Allentown (New Jersey), and South Charleston Post 94 (West Virginia.
Boyertown opens the action on Wednesday at 10 a.m. against Frederick and Philipsburg will play the nightcap against Morgantown at 7:30 p.m. The doubleelimination tournament winds up on Sunday, Aug. 7.
Wilcox Post 467 won the Elk-McKean League and Region 8 titles before playing in the state tourney in Boyertown where they finished 1-2.
The champs from the eight regions will compete at the World Series beginning on Aug. 11. 2022 American Legion Baseball Regional teams Mid-Atlantic (Morgantown, WV):
