Henrietta M. “Muffie” Cheatle, 77, of 233 Muenster Road, St. Marys, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023 at her residence, after a lengthy illness, with her family by her side. She was born August 28, 1945 in DuBois, daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Shriner Chileski. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Bennetts Valley High School, Class of 1963. Muffie was a former employee of Clarion Sintered Metals in Ridgway. On June 8, 1968, in Virginia, Muffie married Thomas E. Cheatle, who survives. They shared more than 54 years of love and happiness. Along with her loving husband, she is survived by her daughter, Cheri Cheatle of St. Marys; three brothers: Andrew Chileski (Rena) of Byrnedale, Alan Chileski of Ridgway, and Frank Chileski (Pat) of St. Marys; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews; and by her puppies, who meant the world to her. Muffie was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a tremendous advocate for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. A Funeral Service will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Thomas More Sikora, OSB officiatin­g. Burial will be at a later date in Mount Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday morning, from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
