A Ridgway woman is facing charges after allegedly stabbing a man over the weekend.

According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge James Martin in Johnsonburg, Krisha Lynn Buehler, 42, of 542 1/2 Rock Street, Ridgway, is facing charges in relation to the incident.

On Feb. 11 at approximately 5:46 p.m., while on routine patrol, an officer with the Ridgway Police Department was dispatched to Buehler’s residence in reference to a 911 hangup call. As the officer was approaching the residence, they were waved down on Rock Street by an individual who was walking away from the residence on Rock Street. That individual was later identified to be the victim in the incident.

The victim told the officer that they had just been stabbed by “her,” meaning Buehler, and that Buehler was still at the residence. The officer viewed the victim’s right upper arm to have what appeared to be an approximately 1/2” puncture wound, which was bleeding. The victim was uncooperative and proceeded to refuse medical attention and fled the scene on foot.

The officer made contact with Buehler, who stated that she had just returned to the residence when she and the victim got into an argument. Buehler alleged that the victim kicked her dog before kicking her in the kitchen. Buehler stated she then grabbed a knife and proceeded to “poke” the victim.

Buehler continued to describe the incident by grabbing a kitchen knife, which lay to the left of the kitchen sink, to show the officer how she stabbed the victim with the knife. Upon the arrival of another officer, Buehler continued to make incriminating statements.

Preliminary arraignment for Buehler was held before Magisterial District Judge Barry Brown at 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 11.

Buehler is facing one second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault – attempts to cause or causes bodily injury with deadly weapon, one seconddegree misdemeanor charge of simple assault, and one summary charge of harassment – subject other to physical contact.

Bail for Buehler was set at $25,000 unsecured.

A preliminary hearing for Buehler is scheduled to be held at 9:15 a.m. on Feb. 21 before Judge Martin.
