Brent Lawrence Soderberg

ROCKTON - Brent Lawrence Soderberg, 40, of Rockton; formerly of Orlando, FL; went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 28, 2024. Born April 4, 1983 in Rockford; son of Brian and Joyce (Taylor) Soderberg. Graduate of Hononegah High School, class of 2001. Brent obtained his Bachelor Degree in Entertainment Management from Full Sail University in 2007. He was most recently employed at Universal Studios and Hard Rock in Orlando, FL as a Sound Mixing Engineer. Brent was a talented drummer, playing in several bands; including Spoonful JC locally, and i-90 with his Florida friends. Brent was a loving and dedicated father. His daughter Hannah was his entire world. He loved crafting, drawing, going for walks and bike rides with his daughter, Hannah. Brent also loved his parents, sister and nephews greatly and is remembered fondly as one of God’s angels here on earth. His love, kindness and care for those he knew will be missed by his family and circle of friends. Survived by daughter, Hannah Soderberg; and her mother Susan Resnick; parents; Brian and Joyce Soderberg; sister, Juliann Barta; nephews Tyler Barta, Adam Sliti, and his father, Houssem Sliti; aunts, Chris Mullins, Robin (Steve) Read, Karen (Greg) Lowe; uncle, Ralph Shepard; and a circle of friends in his hometown and in Florida. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bruce and Marion Soderberg; maternal grandparents, Larry and Lois Taylor; and aunt, Teresa Shephard. Memorial Visitation, Saturday, March 9, 2023 from 1-3 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services; 4301 N. Main St. Rockford, followed by a Celebration of Brent’s Life at 3 pm.
