The Rome Tea Party will hosts its lunch bunch gathering today from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Fuddruckers, 595 Riverside Parkway. The program will include the second in a series of straw polls for purposes of establishing issue baselines. Immigration legislation and actions will be discussed along with a range of issues. Two fair housing public meetings are planned for today: at 2 p.m. at City Hall, 601 Broad St. and at 5:30 p.m. at the Kelsey-Aycock-Burrell Center, 41 Washington Drive. Citizens will have time to express general opinions and concerns regarding fair housing in the area. A third meeting is set for Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Napoleon Fielder Center, 1500 Crane St. Additionally, an online survey will be available at www.romefairhousing.com from Tuesday through Aug. 23.
