Larry James, founder and president of Southeast Regional Health and Wellness, answers the questions for this week's Highlighting Helping Hands. What is the purpose of your organization? Southeast Regional Health and Wellness seeks to educate the community on taking control of their health. We desire to help those who want quality health care information from a holistic approach. Our mission statement is: “Nature’s health care seeks to restore a healthy community for all; so let us all start by eating from nature’s table.” How is your organization funded? At the moment Southeast Regional Health and Wellness is fully funded by the president and founder, Larry James.
How did you obtain this position and why did you pursue this position? This position was obtained by founding the organization. I wanted to educate others on how to live a holistic life.
What do you enjoy most acting as head/part of this organization?
I enjoy going out to schools and educating children about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. The children are a joy to be around and I believe they get a lot of my presentation. What is your organization’s biggest challenge? Getting our name out in the community and partnerships. If the organization uses volunteers, in what capacity? We currently do not use volunteers. Is there something you would like to say to our readers?
