Allen appointed as purchasing director for city
Johnna Allen has been appointed as the new purchasing director for the City of Rome.
Allen will be responsible for directing staff and participating in tasks necessary for purchasing services, equipment, and materials at the lowest possible cost in compliance with city and county ordinances and published guidelines.
She has worked for the City of Rome for over eight years. She first started out in finance as a staff accountant and transitioned into the grants/internal auditor position. She moved to purchasing in May of 2014 as the assistant director of purchasing.
Allen holds an MBA in Finance from Berry College.
Saunders Jones III joins CVCU
Coosa Valley Credit Union announces Saunders Jones III will be
joining the CVCU team as vice president of SBA/Commercial Lending.
Jones has been employed with Century Bank for the past 12 years. He specializes in lending to small business owners and real estate investors. He has helped hundreds of his clients succeed over his years of experience.
He is also an expert in SBA lending and brings with him wealth of commercial lending experience.
A graduate of Cartersville High School, Jones obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, he obtained his M.B.A. in finance from Kennesaw State University, and he received his diploma from Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. A lifelong Cartersville resident, he has been married to Cartersville native Katie Glawson Jones, the executive director of the First Presbyterian Preschool. Together they have two children, Katie Anne and Saunders “SJ” Jones IV. They are active members of Cartersville First Baptist Church where Saunders serves on the Finance Team and Katie serves in the Children’s Ministry.
