DOL hiring for Metro Industrial in Polk County Reps. Kelley, Coomer appointed to judicial reform committee

CEDARTOWN – The Georgia Department of Labor’s Cedartown Career Center will help Metro Industrial Services recruit 22 forklift operators/ warehousemen to work in Rockmart.
The recruitment will be held Monday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the career center located at 262 North Park Blvd.
Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma or a GED is preferred.
Applicants must have at least two years of related experience, have the ability to operate a forklift and lift up to 70 pounds, possess good mathematical skills, work various shifts and work in a cold environment. Salaries will depend on experience. Applicants are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for jobs.

ATLANTA — Rep. Trey Kelley, RCedartown, and Rep. Christian Coomer, R-Cartersville, have been appointed to the House Special Study Committee on Judicial Qualifications Commission Reform.
The Judicial Qualification Commission acts as the governing body for judges, disciplining then when they’ve violated judicial code.
“Historically its been known as a trustworthy and respected institution, and over the last few years we’ve see this institution’s reputation go down,” Kelley said.
