Woman accused of cashing fake check

A Rome woman was in jail without bond Wednesday after being accused of cashing a fake $931.37 paycheck.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Cynthia Kay Rendon, 45, 101 Longmeadow Drive, printed a paycheck she forged to appear that it came from a Cartersvil­le Bojangles and

cashed it at the Bottle & Basket, 2006 Redmond Circle, around 2:30 p.m. July 13.

Rendon was arrested on felony warrants Wednesday.

She is facing felony charges of printing a fictitious check and aggravated identity fraud. She is also charged with misdemeano­r forgery.
