The National Alliance on Mental Illness mental health 5K walk will take place Friday at Heritage Park. Registration will start at 9 a.m., with the walk on Broad Street and around the river beginning at 11 a.m. Its purpose is to increase awareness about mental illness, reduce the stigma and raise funds for NAMI Rome.
