Redmond welcomes John Pittman

Redmond Regional Medical Center announces that John Pittman, MD has joined Redmond Physician Services Group. Dr. Pittman’s practice, Rome Primary Care, is now Redmond Medical Group East. Dr. Pittman’s practice remains at its East Rome location, 715 East Second Ave.

Dr. John Pittman is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been in practice for over twenty-five years. After completing his medical degree at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Dr. Pittman completed both his internship and internal medicine residency at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Redmond Medical Group East is also a part of Redmond’s new Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Pittman serves on the core faculty in ambulatory medicine for graduate medical education at Redmond. Dr. Pittman is the site director for Redmond Internal Medicine Residency at the Redmond Medical Group East clinic. Previously, Dr. Pittman has served in the role of Assistant Professor of Medicine in the department of Internal Medicine at both the Medical University of South Carolina and at the Emory University School of Medicine.

Redmond Medical Group East is an appointmen­t-only internal medicine clinic that can see patients who are 16 years of age or older. The clinic offers treatment for a variety of conditions including diabetes, hypertensi­on, elevated cholestero­l, depression and anxiety, annual physical exams and more.

The office is open Monday through Friday and accepts most insurance policies. Redmond Medical Group East is at 715 East Second Avenue in Rome.
