The Goodwill Career Center, 154 Hicks Drive, will have a work readiness workshop Wednesday at 10 a.m. Participants will be able to explore career options, learn about training opportunities and get resume marketing tips. Lunch will be provided and registration is required.

THURSDAY

The Georgia Mountain Music Club will celebrate their 30th anniversary with a 50’s Music Opry and dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday. The event will be held at the Charles C. Parker Center, 1325 Kingston Highway. Cost will be $5 per person.

Mackey Masonic Lodge No. 120 F&AM, 25 Craven St., Cave Spring, will have its annual Fall Barbecue on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of John House’s Cave Spring Chapel Funeral Home on U.S. 411 across from Casey’s food store in Cave Spring.
