Cedartown 27, LaGrange 17

The Cedartown Bulldogs were down at halftime, scoreless and looking at another potential loss in the region.

Then the Bulldogs turned up the gas, and they got to cooking and came back to win after scoring 27 unanswered points over the Grangers.

“We got a couple of turnovers, and a couple of scores and go the momentum going,” said head coach Scott Hendrix following Friday’s road win. “A lot of people don’t believe in momentum, but it can change the attitude of your players and the game.”

Hedrix said the win gave Cedartown (4-2, 1-1 Region 5-AAAA) a boost going into their Oct. 7 homecoming game against Central.

This was also the first time Cedartown has won a game against LaGrange.

The Bulldogs will host Central-Carroll on Friday.
