Roswell city council member accused of sexual exploitation of a child
ROSWELL — A Roswell City Council member who works as an actor has been charged with sexual exploitation of a child and enticing a child for indecent purposes, police said Friday.
Kent Igleheart, 53, was apprehended Thursday by the DeKalb County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit. He had rented a hotel room at a Days Inn to meet with the girl, and was arrested at nearby Northlake Mall, authorities said.
Igleheart had an online relationship with the girl since she was about 13, DeKalb County police said. He exchanged nude photos with the child during that time, they said. The girl is now 17.
Igleheart didn’t immediately return telephone and email messages left at his City Council office.
It wasn’t known Friday whether he has an attorney who could be reached on his behalf.
