Bailey added another touchdown pass to his 125 total passing yards for the night by connecting again with Sims on a 19-yard TD.

Then Rockmart’s second string got some experience as Tyler Abram and Juke Boozer connected on a pass early in the fourth quarter for 11 yards and the Jackets’ final score of the night.

Overall, Rockmart put up 328 total yards of offense compared to 183 yards for Coosa.

The Eagles’ only touchdown came at the end of the game as Logan Pledger connected with Duke Black for a 19-yard touchdown as time expired with the running clock.

Rockmart head coach Biff Parson said the bounce back from their loss to Pepperell on Oct. 14 is what he expected of his team.

“I’m proud of how our guys responded after a tough loss and how they played,” he said. “Our guys are resilient, and they believe in what we’re doing and the standard that we’re setting at Rockmart.”

Rockmart is back at home next week for a game against Gordon Central.
