FBI offers $10K on missing woman

CARTERSVIL­LE — The FBI and GBI are offering a $10,000 reward for informatio­n to help locate a missing 27-yearold Cartersvil­le woman. According to an FBI press release: Heather Dianne McDonald disappeare­d mysterious­ly from Cartersvil­le on Sept. 18 and was last seen near U.S. 411 and Interstate 75 around 7 p.m.

McDonald was last seen wearing yoga pants and a tank top. McDonald’s vehicle, a red Jeep Wrangler, was located in the parking lot of the Courtesy Inn, 2335 U.S. 411, Cartersvil­le.

She is a white female, approximat­ely 5 feet 2 inches tall, 105 pounds, with brown eyes and wavy, shoulder length brown hair.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for informatio­n leading to the recovery of McDonald or the identifica­tion that leads to the conviction of those involved in her disappeara­nce.

A wildfire has consumed over 100 acres in the Little River Canyon National Preserve in Alabama.

CFD reminds the public that no burning is permitted at this time due to drought conditions.
