FBI offers $10K on missing woman

CARTERSVILLE — The FBI and GBI are offering a $10,000 reward for information to help locate a missing 27-yearold Cartersville woman. According to an FBI press release: Heather Dianne McDonald disappeared mysteriously from Cartersville on Sept. 18 and was last seen near U.S. 411 and Interstate 75 around 7 p.m.

McDonald was last seen wearing yoga pants and a tank top. McDonald’s vehicle, a red Jeep Wrangler, was located in the parking lot of the Courtesy Inn, 2335 U.S. 411, Cartersville.

She is a white female, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, 105 pounds, with brown eyes and wavy, shoulder length brown hair.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the recovery of McDonald or the identification that leads to the conviction of those involved in her disappearance.

A wildfire has consumed over 100 acres in the Little River Canyon National Preserve in Alabama.

CFD reminds the public that no burning is permitted at this time due to drought conditions.
