Rome man indicted by grand jury
Reports say Dean Arce used drugs to rape an unconscious woman.
A Rome man who police say posed as a photographer and drugged and then raped an unconscious woman has been indicted by the Floyd County grand jury on a rape charge.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Dean Arce, 27, of 166 Daniel Road, was arrested on Oct. 28 on warrants stating that on Sept. 20 he raped an unconscious woman.
Arce was the owner and operator of Community Entertainment Solutions, LLC, which he touted as a full service media firm.
Arce is charged with felony rape, providing a false name, address or birth date, drugs not in their original container, possession of drug-related objects and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.
He is being held without bond on a violation of his probation.
The grand jury has indicted 43 people so far this month.
Timothy Bryan Cormier was indicted on a violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act after police allegedly found him with meth when he fled from Kroger after attempting to purchase gift cards with a stolen credit card.
Joel Nelson Yother Jr. was indicted on felony theft by taking charges for various camper and automobile thefts.
Gregory Alan Barner was indicted on an aggravated assault charge after allegedly striking a 61-year-old man with a baseball bat at a location on Maple Street.

Kenneth Whaley — violation of the Georgia controlled substances act
Kayla McBee and Gerardo Silva — burglary Gerald Bell Jr. — burglary Charles Bennett — obstruction of an officer
Brandon Sullins - possession of contraband by an inmate.
Amanda Masters, Eugenia Teate, Daniel Welchel — burglary
John Nichols Jr. — burglary
Tyler Pasley — aggravated assault
