Coosa splits against Chattooga

The Coosa girls’ basketball team came away with a 42-39 home win against Chattooga on Monday, while the Eagles were handed a 65-36 loss.

Taylor Roberts led Coosa with 12 points, seven rebounds, four steals and two blocks; Carah Arrant had eight points and 10 rebounds; and Emma Reynolds had 10 points, five steals and three assists.

In the boys’ game, the Eagles managed to cut the Indians’ lead to seven points in the third quarter, but Chattooga was able to pull away for the win.

The Eagles were led by Tavares Herrington with nine points and Austin Boyd with seven points.

Coosa will next host Model today.
