TV Top Picks This Week
Don’t Miss: The 89th Academy Awards — Welcome to the big time, Jimmy Kimmel. The late-night goofball takes his first crack at hosting Hollywood’s biggest bash and we wouldn’t be at all surprised if politics is among the prime topics of conversation. As for the movies, “La La Land” leads the nomination list with a record-tying 14 and is a good bet to dance off with the biggest prize of the night. Scheduled performers include LinManuel Miranda, Auli’i Cravalho, Sting, Justin Timberlake and John Legend. 5:30 p.m. PT Sunday (8:30 ET), ABC.
Other bets
Sunday: We’re counting down the days until Rick and the gang do battle with the evil Negan on “The Walking Dead.” But in tonight’s episode, a resident from Alexandria must navigate the mysterious world within the Saviors’ compound.

Monday: Season 12 of “The Voice” begins with the Blind Auditions as Gwen Stefani returns to the coaches panel. Now if only she and the others can finally discover a singer we’ll remember. 8 p.m., NBC.
Tuesday: President Donald Trump makes his first address to the joint session of Congress. Count on plenty of post-speech analysis, as well as the Democratic response. 6 p.m. PT, the major networks and cable news channels.
(9 p.m. ET).
Wednesday: Because three apparently just weren’t enough, we now have a fourth Windy City drama from producer Dick Wolf. Welcome to “Chicago Justice,” a legal series that will try its best to differentiate itself from “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.” and “Chicago Med.” What? Is “Chicago Dog Pound” next?
