LADY WOLVES VOLLEYBALL CAMP — The ninth annual Lady Wolves Volleyball Camp will take place April 10-13 at the Rome Middle School gym. The camp is for girls in grades fifth through eighth, and players will need to bring water, knee pads and tennis shoes. Each day will run from 4 to 5:30 p.m., and will be staffed by Alecia Parker and Tasha McDaniel. The cost is $50 and a T-shirt is guaranteed if players sign up before Friday.
YOUTH LACROSSE CLINIC — The Rome Youth Lacrosse Association is offering a free youth lacrosse clinic March 26 from 1-3 p.m. at Berry College. The clinic will be staffed by current college players and coaches from both Berry College and Darlington School. COOSA VALLEY TENNIS ASSOCIATION ROME OPEN — The first ever Rome Open, hosted by the Coosa Valley Tennis Association, will take place April 8, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College. The event will include womens doubles, mens doubles and mixed doubles. The event is open only to players 18 and older. It will be an eight-game, noadd pro sets, round-robin format with overall winners advancing. The cost for registration is $20 for playing in one division with a chosen partner, $30 for two divisions with a chosen partner, $25 for one division without a partner, and $35 for two divisions without a partner. Players will receive balls provided by the tennis center and a Rome Open hat. The Deadline for entry is April 5. Visit www.cvta.us/wp/rome-open-registration to register online.
PRESCHOOL SOCCER CLASSES — The YMCA Arsenal soccer program is hosting Lil’ Gunners Preschool Soccer classes in April that focus on introducing soccer through games and activities. The cost is $35 for YMCA members and $60 for non-members, and includes a team shirt and medal. Classes meet at Grizzard Park every Thursday from 4:45-5:15 p.m. and have a maximum of 15 children. The session begins April 6.
