The Exchange Club of Rome will meet Friday at noon at The Palladium at the Coosa Valley Fairground­s, 69 Church St. Robin Holt will speak about her trip to Israel.

Registrati­on for the Rome Little Theatre Academy’s Summer Workshop is open to students ages 6-16. The summer stockstyle workshop, which runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 12-16, is designed to challenge both novice and experience­d young actors. An early

A meeting on school choice will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hill Crest Baptist Church, 2202 N. Broad St. Colleges, home-school groups, and hybrid and private schools will be represente­d.

The fifth annual Spring Art

Market will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Rome Civic Center, 402 Civic Center Drive. Free entry and free parking.

The Rome Noon Optimist Club will meet Monday at State Mutual Stadium. Lunch will begin at 11:45 a.m. with the program to follow.

Habitat for Humanity is partnering with Lowe’s to offer a Women Build workshop on how to properly use power tools. The free workshop will take place at Lowe’s, 2338 Shorter Ave., on Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Rome Seven Hills Rotary will meet Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Dark Side of the Moon for fellowship and networking.

A free Wellness Works seminar titled “Let’s Talk About HPV: An Evening for Mothers and Daughters” will be held April 6 at 6 p.m. in the lower level classrooms A and B at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Dr. Kristen Leezer, Northwest Georgia OB/GYN, will offer valuable education about HPV and answer your questions. Redmond’s Women’s Center Nurse Practition­ers will also provide breast health informatio­n. Dinner will be served. This is a free seminar but seating is limited and registrati­on is required. The YMCA of Rome and Floyd County will celebrate YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day April 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Grizzard Park. Admission is free and open to the public. Healthy Kids Day is The Y’s national initiative to improve the health and wellbeing of families. The day will include fun active play and educationa­l activities to keep kids moving and learning. Herb Sale will take place April 8-9 at the Coosa Valley Fairground­s, with sale hours from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. The event is a fundraiser for the Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home. Floyd County Master Gardener volunteers will be present to offer advice, and those who want their soil tested should bring soil sample bags.

and Guests will present “Across the Big Pond XVII” on April 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Forum River Center. The annual gala Celtic concert will include bagpipers, dancers, soloists and more.
