YOUTH FOOTBALL RALLY — The Rome Youth Football Organization will hold a registration rally Sunday at 5 p.m. at Barron Stadium. The event will be for children ages 7-10 interested in playing for the group in the fall. There will be free hamburgers and hot dogs, and the Rome High School booster club will be selling reserved stadium seats for the upcoming season as well as Wolves merchandise. need to bring water, knee pads and tennis shoes. Each day will run from 4 to 5:30 p.m., and will be staffed by Alecia Parker and Tasha McDaniel. The sessions will include passing, setting, footwork, rotation and scrimmage. Students will learn the basics of volleyball as well as some specialized skills. The cost is $50.
BRANCH BRAGG GOLF TOURNAMENT — sixth annual Branch Bragg Memorial Golf Tournament is April 22 at Stonebridge Golf Club with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The four-man scramble raises funds for scholarships for Coosa High School student-athletes. The cost is $80 per person and includes a cart, range balls, lunch and door prize tickets. CALLIER SPRINGS SPRING JAM — Callier Springs Country Club, 2653 Callier Springs Road, is holding its Spring JAM Tournament Season Kickoff April 22-23. The two-person format tournament will include special golf challenges and dinner on April 22 with a band. The cost is $75 per person. WOLF NATION 5K — The first Wolf Nation 5K and 1-mile race to benefit the Rome High School cross country and track programs will be April 22 at Rome High School, 1000 Veterans Memorial Highway. The 5K starts at 8:30 a.m. while the 1-mile race starts at 9:30 a.m. The start and finish line will be at the high school.
