The Rome Seven Hills Rotary Club will meet Tuesday at noon at Coosa Country Club, 110 Branham Ave. The program will be presented by Rome High School winners of the 2017 Georgia Laws of Life Essay Contest.

The Rome Floyd County Chapter of the Georgia Council of the Blind will meet Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rome-Floyd County Library, 205 Riverside Parkway. The group discusses issues that impact individual­s with vision loss. Lunch will be served. The Floyd County Landlord Associatio­n will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Fuddrucker­s, 595 Riverside Parkway. Magistrate Judge Gene Richardson will be the guest speaker. The Renew Our Rivers 2017 cleanup will take place Friday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Armuchee Creek. The group will meet at New Armuchee Baptist

Church, 5385 Martha Berry Highway, for staging, breakfast and a safety talk. Participan­ts should wear boots and long pants. The cleanup will concentrat­e near the cemetery between Martha Berry Highway and Old Summervill­e Road. Boats will not be needed, but volunteers with trucks and winches to remove appliances, sofas and other items will be helpful. There will be plenty of opportunit­ies for people to help clean along the creek and on both sides of the highway. For more informatio­n call 706236-4456. SATURDAY

The Northwest Georgia Winds and Guests will present “Across the Big Pond XVII” on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Forum River Center. The annual gala Celtic concert will include bagpipers, dancers, soloists and more. Admission is $5.

The Armuchee High School Class of 1957 will hold its 60th class reunion Saturday at Bella Roma Grill, 770 Braves Blvd. Class members, spouses and guests should arrive around 4 p.m. Everyone will order from the menu.

The Porcelain Art Guild will meet Saturday at 10 a.m. at Paula Baker’s Studio. The “Glazing Porcelain Orchids” workshop will be conducted by Anna Nichols. For more informatio­n call 706-266-6534.

The Friends of the Library’s springtime Paperback Book Sale will be in the Oostanaula Room of the Rome-Floyd County Library on Riverside Parkway. The sale will be open April 26-27 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and April 29 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All regular-size paperbacks will be 25 cents or 5 for a $1. All oversize paperbacks will be 50 cents or 3 for a $1.
