For April 12:
Whole broiler/fryer prices are trending mostly steady with some spot softness noted. Offerings of all sizes are light to moderate. Demand into retail and distributive channels is light to moderate, with interest focusing on traditional Easter items. Floor stocks are generally balanced. Market activity is slow to moderate. In the parts complex, prices are steady to firm for thigh meat, and mostly steady for the remaining items. Supplies of thigh meat are tight and continues to clear well. Bone-in breast are in good balance and wings and other dark meat cuts are light to moderate. Market activity for parts is slow to moderate. In production areas, live supplies are moderate at mostly desirable weights.
