Serious wreck at Ga. 101, US 278

This Chevrolet S-10 is crushed beneath a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Ga. 101 and U.S. 278 on Thursday. According to the Georgia State Patrol, Vladmir Gonzalez Hernandez of Marietta was the driver of the pickup truck and was being treated at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta on Thursday night after being flown there. Hernandez was driving east on U.S. 278 and was trying to turn right onto Ga. 101 South when he hit a Honda Accord. The truck continued and crossed Ga. 101 and ended up beneath the tractor-trailer, which was stopped on Ga. 101 at the intersection with U.S. 278.
