Man charged with 2nd-degree burglary

An Aragon man remained in jail Thursday without bond after being accused of taking a generator from a storage building.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Michael Nixon, 25, of 91 Formby Trail, was arrested Thursday on warrants stating that on July 12, 2016, he entered a storage unit on Old Dalton Road and removed a generator valued at $400.

Nixon is charged with felony second-degree burglary.

Woman accused of credit card fraud

A Rome woman remained in jail Thursday without bond after being accused of using a credit card belonging to another without permission.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Miracle Krysteena Sisson,

21, of 203 Cole St., was arrested Thursday on warrants stating that on March 15 she used a debit card belonging to a man without his permission to order food items.

Sisson is charged with felony financial transactio­n card fraud.

Report: Man fractures another man’s face

A Rome man remained in jail Thursday without bond after being accused of punching a man and causing several fractures in his face.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Joey Wayne Roberts, 40, of 38 East Drive, was arrested Thursday on warrants stating that on March 4 he attacked another man, punching him in the face and causing multiple fractures to his face and nose.

Roberts is charged with felony aggravated battery and misdemeano­r battery.

Police: Convicted felon had a firearm

A 31-year-old Rome man was in jail without bond Thursday, charged with felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and parole violation, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Joseph Ojonugwa Johnson, of 51 Tency Lane, was arrested Wednesday. He was being held on a parole hold Thursday.
