GOLF: Pepperell wins Floyd Invitational

The girls’ side of the Floyd County Invitational was played on Wednesd a y a t B E A A , w i t h Pepperell getting the team and individual titles.

The Lady Dragons’ score of 100 beat out Armuchee’s score of 210.

Josie McGraw won the individual title with an 18-hole score of 98, while her teammates Daylee McGraw and Grace Hufford each scored a 102. Armuchee’s Bryson Osteen finished second overall with a score of 101.

Coosa also competed with its lone player, as Abigail Talley scored a 111.

The teams will play again this Monday when they play in the Area 3-A tournament at Elks Lodge Golf Course in Calhoun.
