Police: Man, woman had meth, crack

A Rome man and Lindale woman face multiple felony drug charges after police found drugs as well as scales and other items on them near 21 Chateau Drive, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Jeremy Wayne Johnson, 37, of 11 Mount Alto Road, and Jennifer Miller Crumbley, 36, of 28 Circle Drive, Lindale, are charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance.

Police said they found synthetic marijuana, methamphet­amines and crack cocaine on the pair as well as pills, plastic bags, scales, smoking devices and brass screens.

They are also charged with misdemeano­r possession of drug-related objects, drugs not in original container and obstructio­n of law enforcemen­t officers.

Johnson is additional­ly charged with misdemeano­r possession of a false, fraudulent or altered identity document.

Crumbley is also charged with felony tampering with evidence and misdemeano­r prostituti­on. She told police she traded sexual favors for food and drugs.

They were both being held without bond on Friday afternoon.

Woman charged with cocaine possession

A man called police saying he wanted a Cedartown woman who was acting “jittery” out of his vehicle, reports stated.

According to jail and Rome police reports:

The caller said Samantha Harvey, 36, of 115 W. Gibson St., was acting erratic and he thought she had drugs on her. Police searched Harvey and found a small plastic bag containing a small amount of cocaine and a metal pipe with skulls printed on it.

She is charged with felony possession of cocaine and misdemeano­r possession and use of drug related objects. She was being held Friday afternoon on $5,700 bond.

Police: Man broke bones in woman’s face

A Rome man is charged with attacking a woman with an object and breaking the orbital bones around her left eye, reports stated. According to jail reports: Adam Lee Fletcher, 27, of 650 Avenue F, is charged with felony aggravated battery and aggravated assault.

Fletcher reportedly attacked the woman Thursday evening and caused serious injury to her forehead and above her left eye.

He remained in jail without bond Friday afternoon.

Report: Convicted felon had firearm

A 27-year-old Silver Creek man, who is a convicted felon, was found with a firearm and arrested at his home, reports stated. According to jail reports: Rodney Ryan Deboe Mathis, of 485 Doyle Road, is charged with felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and is also charged with violating his probation.

He was being held without bond Friday afternoon.

$3K in clothes stolen from Victoria’s Secret

The store manager at the Victoria’s Secret at Mount Berry Mall reported three people stole $3,045.01 worth of clothing and fled, reports stated.

According to Rome police reports:

The manager reported three people entered the store and began grabbing clothes. She described them as a black male, described as being between the ages of 17-21 and wearing all black, was accompanie­d by two black females, both described as approximat­ely 16-20 years old with long black hair.

They had two large plastic bags, one from Justice and another from Hot Topic. They shoved the clothes into the bags and fled when approached by store personnel.

They took six pairs of pink denim shorts, 20 pink knit tops, 10 pink tropical hipster panties, eight pink tank tops and 56 pink shorts.

Guns stolen from vehicles in 2 thefts

Handguns were stolen from vehicles in two separate thefts Thursday.

According to Rome police reports:

A Girsan 1911 pistol, valued at $439, along with a holster, was stolen from a truck on Rooney Road.

A black Smith and Wesson 9mm M&P compact, valued at $450, and an Alien Gear holster was taken from a vehicle parked in the Harbor Freight parking lot at 2112 Shorter Ave.

Both vehicles were locked. Police found puncture marks under the driver’s side door of each vehicle.

Report: $100 bill taken while woman slept

A woman reported that while she slept someone entered her home, broke items and trashed her kitchen, reports stated.

According to Rome police reports:

The resident said she’d returned home after going to Burger King and fell asleep on the couch of her North Broad Street home. She’d recently had surgery and had taken some medication. When she awoke at 9:25 p.m. she found her kitchen was destroyed with “green beans laying across the floor and several broken pots.” There was a $100 bill missing from her purse as well. She said she’d left the front door unlocked and that’s likely how the thief entered her home.
