Mrs. Mary Francis Kelly “Wanda” Wilson, age 74, of Rome, passed away April 28 after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Wilson was born at McCall Hospital on April 14, 1943, the daughter of the late Clarence Kelly and Alice Freeman Kelly. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Wilson, and two brothers, John L. Kelly and Earl Kelly. She worked for Dave Wilson Enterprise­s and was a homemaker. She enjoyed a variety of collection­s over the years and enjoyed the challenge of finding and completing each one. She spent countless hours on woodworkin­g projects and often sold her crafts to support a local Boy Scout Troop. In addition, she was a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her children, Renanda Merritt (Ed), Lawrencevi­lle, Georgia; Wendy Mathews (Tim), Forney, Alabama; and Scott Wilson (Maria) of Cartersvil­le, Georgia. In addition, survivors include a daughter-in-law, Anne Paige Wilson; eight grandchild­ren and four great grandchild­ren; one sister, Sybil Watkins; as well as nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017, 11 a.m. at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
