Old Dominion will headline this year’s Rome River Jam which will bring hundreds of area residents to Ridge Ferry Park on May 20. The popular country music concert is known for bringing up-and-coming music stars to Rome and this year could prove true to that tradition. Old Dominion has seen a sharp rise in popularity recently, with their music getting radio play and their number of fans growing rapidly. The band consists of Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Brad Tursi and Geoff Spring. In 2014 they released their first self-titled EP followed by their debut studio album, “Meat and Candy” which included singles “Break Up with Him, “Snapback” and “Song for Another Time.” Last year, Old Dominion won the Academy of Country Music Award’s New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year. “The event is shaping up very nicely,” said organizer Jay Shell. “We’re on track for this being one of the biggest River Jams we’ve had in years. I’m very excited to see this trend. This one will be special with it being our tenth Rome River Jam.”

This year’s lineup:

Muscadine Bloodline, 5 p.m. Riley Green, 5:15 p.m. Jon Langston, 7:30 p.m. Old Dominion, 9 p.m.

Shell said all performance times are approximate, depending on the day’s schedule.
