The National Associatio­n of Active and Retired Federal Employees will meet today at 11:15 a.m. at Landmark Restaurant, 2740 Martha Berry Highway. Jane Tucker, a “Rosie the Riveter,” will be the guest speaker. The meeting is open to all active and retired federal employees.

The Rotary Club of

Rome will hear a college and career testimonia­l from Marcus Wilder today. Wilder graduated from Armuchee High and now attends the Georgia Institute of Technology. On May 18, the club will host World Languages and Workforce Initiative­s with program specialist Patrick Wallace. The club meets Thursdays at noon at Coosa Country Club, 110 Branham Ave.

The 2017 SPLOST Committee will meet today at 6 p.m. on the second floor of the Historic Floyd County Courthouse on Fifth Avenue. The committee is charged with coming up with a list of possible special

purpose, local option sales tax projects. The meeting is open to the public. Attendees should enter the building at the elevator entrance at the rear of the courthouse. Parking will be available in the parking lot shared with the regular Floyd County Courthouse.

Friends will meet today at 7 p.m. at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Take the elevator at the outpatient entrance to lower level Classroom B.
