84, of Rome, died May 11, 2017. Oaknoll Chapel Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangemen­ts.

93, of Statesboro, died May 10, 2017. Hill’s Mortuary Inc. of Statesboro has charge of the funeral arrangemen­ts.

Moses C. Watkins, Doris C. Zafra,

75, of Rome, died May 11, 2017. Salmon Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangemen­ts.

Mrs. Doris C. Zafra, age 75, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 in a local hospital.

It was her wish to be cremated.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date in the outer banks of North Carolina.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Juan Zafra, who misses her very much, two sons, one daughter, three stepdaught­ers and four grandchild­ren.
