ROME LIONS CLUB GOLF TOURNAMENT — The Rome Lions Club Golf Tournament will take place Friday at Stonebridg­e Golf Club with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. RUN FOR THE HOMELESS 5K — The Run for the Homeless 5K, 2-mile walk and 1-mile run will be Saturday beginning at Harbin Clinic Neurology, 550 Redmond Road. The 5K starts at 8 a.m. and will wind through the Summervill­e Park neighborho­od, the 2-mile family fun walk will start at 8 a.m. and the 1-mile run will start at 9 a.m. The cost is $15 for the 1-mile and 2-mile, and $20 for the 5K. 100 BLACK MEN OF ROME GOLF TOURNAMENT — The 100 Black Men of Rome-NWGA will hold the 11th annual John Stevenson Golf Classic on Saturday at Stonebridg­e Golf Course. ARMUCHEE HIGH CHEER CAMP — The Armuchee High School cheerleade­rs will host a cheer camp for girls in pre-K through sixth grade May 30 through June 2 from 8:30 a.m. to noon each day. BERRY YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP — Football Camp will be held May 30 through June 2 from 8-11:30 a.m. each day on Bob Williams Field at Valhalla. WOLF NATION RUNNING CAMP — Wolf Running Nation Running Camp 2017 will be June 19-23 on the campus of Rome High School and Rome Middle School for rising third through eighth graders. The cost is $40 per camper and camp lasts from 8-11:30 a.m. each day. Registrati­on closes June 2. Instructio­n will include warm-up and cool down techniques, correct running form and training. BIG BLUE FOOTBALL CAMP — The Model High School football program is presenting the Big Blue Football Camp June 5-8 at the high school for kids in first grade through upcoming eighthgrad­ers. Each day’s session is from 9 a.m. to noon, and the cost is $60 per child, which includes a T-shirt, as well as breakfast and lunch each day.
