Drug charges send 2 to jail
Two men were arrested Saturday afternoon on felony drug charges following the execution of a search warrant at 772 Morris Road in Silver Creek.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Timothy Jack Wilson, 53, address listed as homeless, was arrested between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Saturday when officers found him in possession of methamphetamine, a scale, an undisclosed amount of cash, packaging material and a firearm.
He was charged with multiple felonies including possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was also charged with misdemeanors for obstruction of officers and possession of drug related objects.
Bucky James Smith, 34, of 772 Morris Road, was also determined to have been in possession of methamphetamine, possession of a golf cart that had been reported stolen out of Polk County, access to a weapon in the residence and possession of other stolen tools.
Smith was charged with felonies for possession of methamphetamine, theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, along with a misdemeanor count of theft by receiving stolen property.
Both Wilson and Smith were being held in the Floyd County jail Saturday night without bond.
