Mrs. Ann Baker McDonald, age 83, of Rome, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017, in a local hospital.

Mrs. McDonald was born in Marion County, Ga., on April 2, 1934, daughter of the late Omar Sim Hardage and the late Annie Ruth Fuller Hardage. She was a graduate of Rome High School in the class of 1952. She had been employed by Pepperell Mfg. Co., Advance Glove, Celanese Fibers, and prior to her retirement, she was employed as a sales associate with Belk. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lindale, the Sybil Kilgo Sunday School Class and the Triple L. Club. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn A. Baker in 1990, and by a sister, Helen Godfrey. She later married Robert Louis (Bob) McDonald, and he preceded her in death in 2009.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Cheryl Crouch, and her husband, Theron, Ellaville, Mrs. Donna Ann Shaw, and her husband, Steve, Rome, Mrs. Diane Worsham, and her husband, Harry, McDonough, and Mrs. Kay Ramey, and her husband, Steve, Rome; three stepdaught­ers, Mrs. Patricia Sorrell, and her husband, Michael, Rome, Mrs. Sherri Minshew, and her husband, Rick, Rome, and Mrs. Debbie Lynch, and her husband, Rev. Ronald, Arab, AL; a step son, Michael Allen McDonald, Lindale; a brother-in-law, Ralph Godfrey, Gadsden, Ala.; 13 grandchild­ren, several great-grandchild­ren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. The Rev. Eric Whelchel will officiate. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel on Monday from 1 p.m. until time for the service. At other hours, they may be contacted at their respective residences.

Pallbearer­s serving are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel on Monday at 2:30 p.m. and include: Josh Salas, Chris Shaw, Don Griffin, Mike McDonald, Rick Minshew, Mason Cox, and Ronald Lynch.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the arrangemen­ts.
