The Rome Chapter of the National Associatio­n of Active and Retired Federal Civil Service Employees will meet Thursday from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Landmark Restaurant. Guest speaker will be NARFE Region III Vice President Clarence Robinson. Meeting attendees will receive the latest news regarding federal civil service matters and retirement data, as well as changes to Social Security. Mercy Care Rome will have its ninth annual A Day for Grands on Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Charles C. Parker Center, 1325 Kingston Road. The event will include informatio­n, vendors, games and lunch. Admission is free for vendors and attendees. For more informatio­n call 706291-8496.
