Barbara Allred Dye

Mrs. Barbara Allred Dye, age 83, of Rome, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. Dye was born in Floyd County, GA on July 18, 1933, daughter of the late Lester Lee Allred and the late Ruby House Allred. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with AT&T for over 44 years. Upon her retirement, she was employed with Sears at Mt. Berry Square Mall for several years. Mrs. Dye was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jack M. Dye, to whom she was married on March 3, 1957; a daughter, Diana Dye Wall, Rome; two grandchild­ren, Erin Cescutti-Restrepo, and her husband, Daniel, Atlanta, and Jack H. Wall, Rome; a sister, Patty Allred Stephens, Isle of Palms, S.C.; a brother, Lester Allred, Jr., and his wife, Brenda, Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; nieces and nephew also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Dr. Dale Levan officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Wednesday from noon until 1:45 p.m. At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence.

Active and honorary pallbearer­s are requested to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and are as follows: Active: Jack H. Wall, Daniel Restrepo, Jeff Harris, Jacob Harris, Mike Davis, and Steve Davis. Honorary: John Milhollin, Jack Martischni­g, and Robert Brinson.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Cancer Navigators of Rome, 255 W. Fifth St., suite 300, Rome, Ga., 30165.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, has charge of the funeral arrangemen­ts.
