Barbara Allen Anthony, age 79, of Rome, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel with her brother, the Rev. Ernest Anthony, officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Anthony-Baker Family Cemetery, near Centre, Ala. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave., Rome, Ga. 30165.

Mrs. Robbie Ella White, age 96, of 25 Gibbons St. NE, Rome, Ga., transition­ed from Labor to Reward on June 3, 2017. The Celebratio­n of Life for Mrs. White will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Holsey Sinai CME Church, 1233 MLK Jr. Blvd., Rome, Ga. The body will lie in state from noon until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 9, 2017 at F. K. Jones Funeral Home in Peek Chapel from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.

DEATH ELSEWHERE Ed Victor

NEW YORK (AP) — Ed Victor, an A-list literary agent whose colorful personalit­y was wellmatche­d by such clients as Keith Richards, Eric Clapton and Andrew Lloyd Webber, has died.

Victor died in London of a heart attack, according to Charlie Brothersto­ne, an agent at Ed Victor Ltd. Victor was 77 and had been battling leukemia. SATURDAY

The Floyd County Farmers Market at Ridge Ferry Park will run every Saturday and Wednesday from 7 to 11:30 a.m., ending on Oct. 7.
