Armuchee McDonald’s owner Jim Aaron snipped the ribbon to welcome customers to his completely remodeled McDonald’s restaurant Tuesday morning.

Aaron bought the franchise in 2016 and immediately decided to do a complete makeover — to the tune of $1.1 million — for the restaurant at 2847 Martha Berry Highway.

“We’ve got all of the latest

and greatest stuff, some so new that we don’t have it in yet,” Aaron told

a crowd that gathered for the grand reopening.

Interior customer kiosks are among the items that have yet to be delivered.

“We touched everything, basically bulldozing it without bulldozing it,” Aaron said.

The interior also features large photos and a huge wall mural of scenes from the Rome area by photographer Ryan Smith. Aaron, a graduate of Coosa High and Berry College, said he really wanted to showcase the community inside the store.

In addition to the Armuchee restaurant, Aaron owns three other McDonald’s in the Chattanooga area and said he wanted to grow his business with the addition of other McDonald’s across North Georgia.
